Mr. and Mrs. August Erichsen, residing southeast of Remsen, mourn the loss of their two year old son, Edward, who died Sunday night from cramps in his stomach. He was their only child. – Le Mars Semi-Weekly Sentinel, Feb 6, 1914, page 1.

Note: The parents were August and Ida (Nitzschke) Erichsen. Edward was born Jan 24, 1912 and died Feb. 1, 1914.
