Fletcher West, 67, Merrill farmer, died Friday (July 28, 1972) at Sioux City St. Joseph Mercy hospital after a 3-day illness.

Mr. West had been hospitalized three days.

Funeral services are pending at the Merrill United Methodist church with Rev. Larry Vallery officiating.

Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery, Merrill, under direction of the Mauer Funeral Home.

Mr. West was born March 5, 1905, at Scranton, a son of the late Herbert and Dolly (Garnett) West. He married Wilma Kehrberg Dec. 18, 1937, at Merrill.

He was a member of the Merrill United Methodist church, LeMars Giblem lodge, Consistory and Shriners of Sioux City.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister.

Survivors are his wife, Wilma, of Merrill; a daughter, Mrs. Melvin (Karen) Cornwell of Webb; a son, Gail, who is in the Navy stationed aboard the U.S.S.W.S. Sims destroyer 1059; a sister, Mrs. LaVonne Zimmerman, of Long Beach, and two grandchildren, Mark and Lynda Cornwell.
