Tired of life.
News was received Wednesday morning that Solomon Crow was found dead about 5 o'clock on his knees, with his neck resting in a sling made by tying the ends of his woolen scarf over a limb
of a tree in the grove near the house.

Since his wife died some time ago in Missouri he has been demented at times, and came here about a year ago and has been living with his brother, Lewis Crow, about eight miles west of town. They made his stay with them very pleasant and comfortable and have had special care over him during his spell of imbecilty. He was a kind hearted old gentleman, about 70 years of age; a stanch Christian and firm believer in republicanism, and since the election of Harrison, like Simeon of old, his greatest hopes being realized, he desired to depart.

The funeral took place yesterday at the Baptist church, conducted by Rev. S.N. Jones.
