6-11-1898Another Old Citizen Gone
James Rainboth, who resided on section 30, Union township, died on Tuesday of this week at the age of nearly 58 years. Deceased bad been an invalid for the past seventeen years, having suffered a s t r o k e of apoplexy at that time from which he never recovered and had to be under the constant care of some member of the family, although able to dress himself and be about the premises. He leaves a widow and five children, four sons and one daughter, all residents of this county.
The funeral was held at Mt. Hope M.E. church on Thursday, Rev. Flintt, pastor of the church, conducting the services, and the remains were brought to LeMars for interment beside those
of two children who had preceded him to t h e g r a v e .He was one of the early settlers of the county and lived in Union township nearly if not q u i t e his entire residence in the county. During his long period of inability his faithful wife has constantly ministered to his needs and made life as pleasant as possible.
