HOLD LAST RITES FOR HENRY BODEN
Had Been Resident Of Union County, S.D.
For Over Seventy Years

The death of Henry Boden at the Akron Hospital on Friday, evening, April 20, 1951, removed another of
the pioneer and well known residentsof Union county, S. D., at the age of 77 years, 5 months and 5 days. He
had been in failing health for some time.

Henry Boden, the fourth son of Patrick and Mary [Johnston] Boden, was born November 16, 1873, in Clayton county,
Iowa. He came to Union county with his parents in 1878 and had resided there continuously ever since.

He lived with his parents and engaged in farming over a long period. After their death, he made a home with
his brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Chas. McConville, in the same vicinity.

He was a man of upright character, honest and honorable in all his dealings, and well liked by all who knew him.

Surviving are his brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Chas. McConville, also many nieces and nephews.

Sympathy is extended the relatives in their bereavement.

Funeral services were held Tuesday morning, April 24, in St. Patrick's Catholic church, Rev. Father Chas.
Ernst officiating. Pallbearers were Martin Henrich, Cecil Harrington, Dan Blake, Ross Root, Lovay Lamoureux
and Frank Trautt. Interment was in the Catholic cemetery.

Coming from a distance to attend the funeral were: Mr. and Mrs. Pat Boden and daughter, Mrs. Jim Foulgher,
of Santa Ana, Calif., and also relatives;, from Oakland, Omaha, and Fremont, Nebr.; Sioux City, Vermillion,
Sioux Falls and Aberdeen, S.D.
