DIED.
WILSON—At Millnerville, Iowa, on Sunday, January 28, 1900, Rae, daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. A. U. Wilson, of membraneous croup, aged 5 years, 6 months and
20 days.

The little girl was taken seriously ill with a cold last week while visiting
in Sioux City with her mother, but had sufficiently recovered to be taken
home on Wednesday of last week. But the angel of death hovered near, and
despite all human aid, the little one was called to her Great Home on
Sunday.

Deceased was the only child of Mr. and Mrs. Wilson, and was an unusually
bright and pretty little girl. She was born in Akron and resided with her
parents until last fall, when the family removed to Millnerville. The
bereaved parents have the full sympathy of this community in their
bereavement. The funeral was held last Tuesday afternoon at the Akron
Baptist church and was largely attended. Interment was made in the Akron
cemetery.

Death came for little Rae Wilson at a few minutes past eleven o'clock Sunday morning, January 25. The sorely bereaved parents have the sympathy of the many friends and neighbors in this, their great grief, for in the death of darling Rae they have lost their only child, who was like, as her name reminds us, to a ray of sunlight, and the beautiful, laughing face, clear blue eyes and flaxen silken curls will be missed by all who knew the little one.

She was taken sick in Sioux City only a few days before while visiting relatives there with her mother, but recovered sufficiently to come home to Millnerville with her papa and mamma on Wednesday of last week. Later, she seemed worse on Thursday afternoon and Dr. Clark, of Akron, was sent for, he being absent. Dr. Cilley come to see her and thought she had croup and tonsillitis, developing asthmatic symptoms. Drs. Clark and Cilley came and did all that could be done but the pure little one was wanted by the master to adorn the great white throne.

Had Rae lived until July 8 she would have been six years old.

After a prayer by Rev. Jones, of Akron, at the house Tuesday morning, the funeral was held at the Baptist church at Akron, after which she was laid to rest in the Akron cemetery. Rev. Jones spoke very feelingly of the bright little one who so recently lived among them. There were many beautiful flowers from loving friends. Rev.
