Henry Held, a former resident of this county, died at the state hospital in Cherokee on Tuesday morning. He suffered a stroke of apoplexy about six o'clock on Monday evening from which he never rallied, passing, away at an early hour the following day. The remains were brought to Le Mars and from here conveyed to Melbourne where the funeral was held yesterday and the remains interred in the family burying grounds.

Henry Held was born in Plymouth county forty-two years ago and was a son; of the late Frederick Held; one of the first setters in the Floyd Valley and grew to manhood here, A number of years ago he moved to Waterloo where he was married.

He leaves a wife and three young children who came from Waterloo to attend the funeral. Mrs. J. W. Schmidt, of this city is a sister of the deceased. The deceased was related to the Helds and other families residing near Melbourne and Hinton.

Friends in Hinton received word of the very sudden death of Henry Held at the Cherokee hospital. The body was interred in the Melbourne Cemetery.
