WM. HUEBSCH DIES, WAS BANKER HERE FOR MANY YEARS

Funeral services for William Frank Huebsch, 74, were held Saturday, April 4, at 10 a.m. at Mauer’s funeral chapel. Rev. H. V. Bartz and Rev. J. D. Salter conducted the service. Interment was in the city cemetery.

Mr. Huebsch died Thursday, April 2, at Sacred Heart Hospital after a lingering illness. He had made his home for many years with his brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. H. H. Cannon.

A life long resident of LeMars, Mr. Huebsch was born here Jan. 10, 1879. After graduating from Cornell college, Mount Vernon, he was cashier at the American Trust and Savings Bank, a firm he was associated with for 27 years. He was a member of the Methodist church.

Active in civic affairs, he was a Library board member for 30 years and retired as secretary last fall. He was employed at Hansen Hardware after retiring from the bank.

Surviving are two sisters and a brother. They are: Mrs. Mabel Cannon of LeMars, Miss Leila Huebsch, dietician at Cornell college, and L. C. Huebsch of LeMars. Others surviving are an aunt, Mrs. Nora Rhynsburger of Holstein and other relatives. He was never married.
