Mr. E. Phillips died at his home Sunday morning July, 9 after a prolonged illness aged 70 years.

The deceased was an old resident here and was a good citizen and neighbor. He cheerfully bore his sufferings and prayed that the final end might come soon.

He leaves a wife three sons and one daughter who were all present at the time of his death.

The funeral was held Tuesday officiated by Rev. Karl Kaupp of the Evangelical Church and the body was laid to rest in the Melbourne Cemetery.
