MRS. PHILLIP HELD RITES FRIDAY AT HINTON
Funeral services for Mrs. Phillip E. Held, 84, longtime Hinton resident who died Tuesday at the home of a son, will be at 2 p.m.Friday at the Hinton Methodist Church. Rev. Gayle Hawhee, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in Melbourne Cemetery east of Hinton under direction of the Heaton-Westcott funeral home, Sioux City.

Mrs. Phillip Held. 84, a longtime resident of the Hinton community, died Tuesday at the home of a son, H. Russell Held, near Hinton.
Mrs. Held, the former Johanna; Jensen, was born December 20, 1878 in Denmark. She came to Sioux City as a child with her parents. They later moved to Hinton. She was married to Phillip E. Held October 16, 1901, at Hinton. He died March 23, 1963 Mrs. Held was a member of the Methodist Church and a charter member of the Women's Society of; Christian Service.
Survivors include three sons, H. Russell of Hinton. Ralph of Kansas City, Kan., and Harold of Rock Grove, Ill.; three daughters, Mrs. Lester Benz of Iowa City, Ia., Mrs. Maurice Kramer of Glenview, Ill., and Mrs. John Padgett of Indianapolis. Ind.; four sisters, Mrs. F. D. Winter of Hinton, Mrs. Nattie Wilson of Los Angeles, Mrs. Martha Barrett of Menlo, Ia., and Mrs. Percy Ashton of Albert Lea, Minn.; two brothers, Floyd Jensen a Sioux City and W. L. ("Pal") Johnson of Algona, Ia., eight grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the Hinton Methodist Church. Rev. Gavle Hawhee, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in Melbourne Cemetery east of Hinton under direction of the Heaton-Westcott Funeral home.
