Mrs. Tessie Schindel, 58, wife of Allen Schindel, residing on a farm 3 ½ miles northeast of Hinton, died Friday evening at the home after a brief sickness.
Born at Le Mars, July 22, 1886, she moved to Melbourne, when 16 years old. She was married to Mr. Schindel in 1907. She was affiliated with the Melbourne Evangelical Church. At Hinton, she was a member of the Federated Woman's Club.
Surviving are the widower; two sons, Ronald E., and George G., both of near Hinton; a brother, George Zimmerman of Sioux City; a sister, Mrs. Lloyd Snyder of Sioux City, and three grandsons.
The funeral was held at 2:30 o'clock this afternoon from the Melbourne Evangelical Church with Rev. Carl Knapp of Des Moines officiating. Interment was in the Melbourne Cemetery.
