May 29, 1922-Jan. 6, 2011NAPLES, FL—Erma Beatrice Swan, 88, Naples, FL, died Thursday, Jan. 6.
At her request, no services were held.
Erma Swan, daughter of Albert and Martha (Albers) Jahn, was born May 29, 1922, in Elkhorn Township in Plymouth County. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith. She married Frank Richard Swan on Aug. 4, 1945, in Leeds. They raised their family in Aberdeen Township, N.J. She worked for the Matawan Nursing Registry for many years. They retired to Presque Isle, ME., before moving to Naples, FL., in 1995. She was a parishioner of Shepherd of the Glades Lutheran Church in Naples, FL. Her interests included family, sewing, reading and quilting.
Survivors include two daughters, Donna and Robert Crawford and Kathie and Daniel Kiefer, of North Fort Myers, FL; a son, Douglas Swan of Howell, N.J.; four grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and older brother, Carl Jahn of Inchelium, WA; her twin brother, Ervan Jahn of Sheldon; and a sister-in-law, Maxine Swan of Bossier City, LA.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Swan.
