Mrs. Charles Green, 90, of Akron, died April 23, 1976 in the Akron hospital after a brief illness.

Services were held at 10 a.m. April 27 in the Schroeder funeral home, the Rev. Michael McHugh, pastor of the First Church of Christ officiated. Burial was in the Adaville cemetery.

Mrs. Green, the former Elva Lyle McCannon, was born Dec. 16, 1885, in Jewell, Iowa. She married Dr. Charles Green Jan. 1, 1914 in Des Moines. In July 1965 she and her husband moved from Westfield to Akron where she resided until her death. Dr. Green died Jan. 3, 1967. She had made her home in the Akron nursing home the last three months. She was a, member of the First Church of Christ and Ladies Aid.

Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Blanche Harris of Ellensburg, Wash.; a sister. Mrs. Fern Furman of Paradise, Calif.: three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and, three great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, two infant sons and one daughter.

Pallbearers were Cecil Whitead. Donald Boetger. Darcy Fletcher, Merritt Whitead, Wendell Snow, and Frank Welch.
