Howard E. Morehead, 66, of Sioux City, member of an earlyday southwest Plymouth County family, was dead upon, arrival at a city hospital last Thursday, June 23, after suffering a heart attack.

Mr. Morehead was born June 11, 1900, in Plymouth County, and he married LaVina Hoffman, Sept. 10, 1919. He farmed near Westfield, Iowa, until moving to Sioux City, 30 years ago.

Survivors include a son, Lowell, of Westfield; one daughter, Mrs. Adis Marble, of Westfield; two brothers, Marion, of Akron, Iowa, and Merle, of Sioux City; one sister, Mrs. Waller Nigg, of LaCrenscenta, Calif.; four grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at the Rutledge Funeral Home, Sioux City, the Rev. Donald Roberts of Wesley Methodist church, Akron, Iowa, officiating. Burial was in Memorial Park cemetery, at Le Mars, Iowa.

Pallbearers were Arch and Tom Dreeszen, Donald Brundeen, Daryled Hoffman, Ralph Hebeler and John Martin.
