Mrs. Fred Baack Died Thursday Long Time Resident Of North Plymouth

Mrs. Martha Baack died Thursday night in Le Mars after a long illness. Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon a t 1:15 o'clock at the home and at St. John's utheran church in Craig at 2 p. m. Rev. Walter Schmidt officiating, and burial was in Craig cemetery.

Martha Eggebrecht was born January 8, 1874, in Leistenow, Germany, attended school there and came to Sioux county in 1889, and lived there until she was married June 16, 1892, to Fred Baack, who died in 1945. After leaving the farm they lived in Craig and Struble and three months ago Mrs. Baack moved to Le Mars.

Six sons and two daughters survive Mrs. Baack. The sons are Fred, Sioux City; Carl and George, Le Mars; Edward, Struble; Walter, Craig, and Herman, Westfield. Her two daughters are Mrs. Lily Lahr of Adel, Iowa, and Mrs. Lizzie Heien of Le Mars. A son, Alvin, died in infancy and another son, Clarence, was killed in an airplane crash 10 years ago. She is also survived by a brother, Herman Eggelbrecht, and three sisters: Mrs. Minnie Pieper, Mrs. Ernest Kuhe and Mrs. Augusta Nebauer. She is also survived by 18 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
