Henry J. Lubben, 84, Plymouth county native and lifelong resident, died Nov. 30, 1979 at Floyd Valley hospital in Le Mars after an extended illness.

He was born March 16, 1895 in Grant township to Albert, and Margaret Kleihauer Lubben. He lived most of his life in Grant township and moved to Le Mars in 1950. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran church, Le Mars. His marriage to Mary Ommen took place Feb. 19, 1914 in Grant township.

Services were Monday at 1:30 p. m. at St. John's American Lutheran church in Le Mars. Rev. David Kramer officiated and burial was in Christ Lutheran cemetery. Grant township, under direction of the Luken-Johnson funeral home. A prayer service was held at 7:30 p. m. Sunday at the funeral home with Rev. William Striepe officiating.

Survivors are his wife, Mary; five daughters, Mrs. B. R. (Lois) Winecoff, Le Mars; Mrs. Gert (Helen) Haage, Le Maris; Mrs; Elmer (Alice) Pearson, Denver, Colo.; Mrs. Simon (Marie) DeBoom, and Mrs. Lester (Edna) Johnson, both of Le Mars; three sisters, Mrs. Gretha Oetken, Le Mars; Mrs. Bruno (Margaret) Brunken, Struble, and Mrs. Nora Westhoff, Le Mars.

He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers and two sisters.
