Kellogg, Hattie Julia 1871 - 1921

Miss Hattie J. Kellogg, who has been employed in Mrs. Moran's cafe here for some time, was stricken with diabetes last Friday and taken to the Akron Hospital in a state of coma, from which she did not recover, passing away Saturday morning, October 15, 1921, at the age of 50 years, 2 months and 10 days.

Hattie Julia Kellogg was born August 5, 1871, near Smithland Iowa, where she grew to womanhood, and after the death of her father, Lucian Kellogg, resided In Le Mars and Merrill with her mother.

Left to mourn her sudden demise are two sisters, Mrs. Owen Taylor, near Merrill, and Mrs. Ella Spencer of Baxter Springs, Kan.; two brothers, George, of Sioux City, and Artie, near Merrill. She will be mourned and missed by many friends.

Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Zeke at the Adaville church Sunday afternoon, and Interment was in Pleasant Valley cemetery at that place.
