Akron Woman Called by Death Monday Evening
Akron Register-Tribune: Mrs. Evah Sylvester, daughter of Mrs. Sadie Stinton, of this city passed away Monday evening, Dec. 23, in a Sioux City hospital, of peritonitis.
Mrs. Sylvester was employed in a Hawarden cafe during the past several months. She was 33 years of age and. had resided in Akron vicinity most of her life.
The community tenders its sympathy to the bereaved relatives.
Funeral services were held in the Baptist Church here Thursday afternoon. Rev. Williams officiating.

Mrs. Evah Sylvester, who had. been employed in Hawarden since last May, passed away at 7 o'clock at the Methodist hospital in Sioux City Monday evening. She was taken to Sioux City about two weeks ago and submitted to an operation December 11 but was unable to overcome complications which developed. Her remains were taken to Akron and fuuneral services held Thursday afternoon.
Evah Stinton was born at Akron November 27,1908, and was 32 years of age at the time of her death. She, grew to young womanhood at Akron and was married to Harvey Sylvester: One son was born to this union and he passed away over a year ago: The death of her son, whom she; raised alone, was a severe blow to her and one from which she never really recovered.
She is survived by her mother, Mrs. Sadie Stinton of Akron and three sisters, Mrs. Avery. Small and Mrs. Nettie Robertson of Akron and one sister, who resides in California.
Mrs. Sylvester went to Hawarden last May and. was employed, in Doty's Cafe.
