Bert Cecil, a Sioux City policeman, who shot and killed himself early Monday morning after shooting Mrs. Ray March, spent a number of his childhood years in this community.

Mr. Cecil was born at Mondamin, Iowa, then moved to Jefferson, S. D, and from there to Milnerville. Mr.

Cecil leaves his estranged wife, Bessie, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Will Taylor, and two daughters to mourn his death.

The funeral of Bert Cecil in Sioux City last week was largely attended and many of the old neighbors and friends from the Milnerville locality went to the city to accompany the body to its final resting place in the Adaville cemetery. Members of the Sioux City police force acted as pallbearers.
