Little Son of Mr. and Mrs. Wingert Victim In Sioux City

An eighteen months old boy, Gerald Louis, son of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Wingert of Perry Township, died Tuesday morning in the Lutheran Hospital at Sioux City as a result of drinking a small amount of fly spray in his home in Perry Township.

The child was taken to a physician in Sioux City late Monday afternoon after the liquid had burned the inside of his mouth. He was given treatment and then taken to the hospital. The attending physician said the fly spray contained pyrethrium, a deadly poison extracted from flowers.

His death is mourned by his parents and two brothers, James and Thomas.

The funeral services were held Thursday afternoon in the Westcott-Chandler funeral home with Rev, John V. Madison officiating and interment made in Memorial Park Cemetery, Sioux City.
