Thelma R. Toenjes. 66, of Orange City died Wednesday (April 11,1984) in a Sioux City hospital. Services will be at 2 p. m. Saturday in Faith Lutheran Church at Orange City. Pastor Paul Johnson will officiate. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery, rural Ireton. Family visitation will be from 7 to 8:30 p. m. Friday in the Van Gelder Funeral Home in Orange City.

Miss Toenjes was born Sept. 1,1917, at Ireton. She was employed at the Lutheran Hospital, now St. Luke's Regional Medical Center and St. Vincent's Hospital, now Marian Health Center in Sioux City until 1978 when she moved to Ireton. In February 1982 she moved to the Pioneer Home in Orange City. She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church and the LWML.

Survivors are two brothers, Harold of Ireton and Wendell of Le Mars and one sister, Mrs. Paul (Elvira) Kading of Ireton.
