Services Tuesday for Mrs. Paul Utesch, 73, Long Le Mars Resident
Mrs. Paul Utesch, 73, died Saturday at her home after a brief illness of a week. Funeral services will be Tuesday at 2 p. m. in St. Paul's Lutheran church in Johnson township. The Rev. Gustav Meyer will officiate and burial will be in St. Paul's cemetery. The Mauer funeral home has charge of arrangements.
Louise Bertha Jans was born Nov. 28, 1876 at Lowden, Iowa, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Jans. She was married to Paul Utesch on Nov. 19, 1897, in Le Mars. Mrs. Utesch has lived in Le Mars for the past 52 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one son, two sisters and two brothers.
She is survived by the widower; two sons, William G. of Akron, and Edward P. of Le Mars; three daughters, Mrs. Minnie Jahn of Le Mars; Mrs. Amy Halweg of Alta and Mrs. Myrtle Bogner of Merrill; a sister, four brothers, 13 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
