Howard (Dutch) Trometer, 47, died Friday at his farm home west of Hinton.

He was born Feb. 1, 1913, in Plymouth County and was a lifelong resident of this area. He married Grace Burnett Jan. 4, 1938, in Sioux City. She died in 1952.

Survivors include a son, Dennis, of the home and a daughter, Mrs. Carol Harrison, of Hinton.

Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Monday at Perasso Bros. Funeral Home in Sioux City.

Rev. Gail Hawhee officiated. Burial was in Pleasant Valley Cemetery at Adaville.
