FLETCHER, WHITNEY

FLETCHER—Monday, May 13, at his home near Adaville, of heart disease,

Geo. Fletcher, aged 55 years. The deceased was a native of Cambridgeshire, England, where he was born in 1840. In 1852 his father moved to this country with his family and settled in Clinton county where he remained for two years after which be moved back to, Whiteside County. Ill., and made his home. Ten years, later young George came out to Plymouth County and homesteaded a quarter section in Liberty township where he has since made his home. By thrift and industry be bad prospered, well and bad purchased an additional 200 acres and at the time of his death was known as one of the most prominent farmers his section of the county. He was married to Elizabeth Whitney in 1876 and six daughters and three sons have blessed union.

The funeral services occurred at Adaville yesterday and the remains were interred in the Adaville Cemetery.
