Death of Lilly Murphy,
On Sunday about one o'clock in the afternoon, Lilly Murphy, the daughter of Jas. Murphy, breathed her last, aged about 20 years.
Lilly was a bright sweet girl, just entering into womanhood. She had long been suffering from that felt disease, consumption, and though others could see the gradually fading away of her young life, yet to her the world seemed full of beauty, and she hoped with that curious trustfulness, peculiar to consumptives, to live and enjoy it.
She lived among us for nearly twelve years, and her cheerful face ever wore a smile, that made her a welcome visitor and guest. She was a most loving and dutiful daughter, and never was weary of doing all in her power to make her parents happy.
