Anna Hoffman Is Called By Death
Rites for Pioneer Settler To Be Held Saturday Morning
Death claimed Mrs. Anna Hoffman, 24 5th Ave N. E., at her home Wednesday. Mrs. Hoffman had been sick for the past fourteen months.
Anna Stoffel was born December 18, 1861, at Walferdlngen, Luxemburg, Germany. She was 74 years and 6 months old. On December 8, 1884, she was united in marriage to Theodore Hoffman, at Sioux City, Iowa. She came to America in September, 1884, and came directly to Le Mars. She was a resident of Johnson Township for 35 years and for the past 17 years had made her home in Le Mars.
Survivors include Dennis P. Hoffman, Theodore P., Merrill, Iowa; and Mary and Louise of Le Mars, and six grandsons, an uncle, J. B. Stoffel, Huntington, and one cousin, Mike Goetzinger, Le Mars.
She was preceded in death by her husband on April 11, 1924. Funeral services will be held on Saturday morning, at 9:30 a. m. from St. Joseph's Catholic church and interment made in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Wiltgen's will be in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Hoffman was a devout member of the Catholic church and was a member of the Christian Mothers society. She was a devoted housewife and mother and was highly esteemed by all who knew her.
