Funeral services for Charles Hoffman, 83, who died in a Dubuque Ia., nursing home Friday were at 9:30 a. m. Monday at St. Joseph Catholic Church here, with Rt. Rev. Msgr. J, D. Fisch officiating. Burial was in Calvary cemetery at Le Mars The rosary was recited at 8 p. m. Sunday at the Wiltgen-Luedlke funeral home here.

Mr. Hoffman was born August 20, 1873, at Le Mars. For many years, he taught business courses at various colleges and was last employed by an insurance firm at Montpelier, Vt. He retired and returned here in 1937 and went to Dubuque in 1947.

Survivors include three brothers. John A. and Dana N.. both of Le Mars,, and Arthur of Los Angeles, and several nieces and nephews
