Funeral services for Blanche Eilers Putman, 88, Oklahoma City, formerly of Le Mars, were held on Tuesday, Dec. 8, 1992, at the Capital Hill Baptist Church, Oklahoma City, Okla. Arrangements were under the direction of the Hunter Funeral Home, Oklahoma City. Memorials were to be made to the Capitol Hill Baptist Church or the Salvation Army.

Mrs. Putman died on Dec. 4 at South Community Hospital, Oklahoma City.

She was born in Ute on June 9, 1904 to Louie Charles and Jessie Palmer. She was a graduate of Ute High School and in 1928 earned her registered nurse's degree from Methodist Hospital in Sioux City. She practiced in Sioux City hospitals as well as private homes in Iowa.

In 1932 she married Ed Eilers in Yankton, S.D. They lived in Le Mars for 18 years following their marriage, spending winters in Texas. Mr. Eilers died in 1960. Mrs. Putman returned to McAllen, Tex., after his death and practiced nursing in a community hospital. In 1962 she married Gen Putman.; and in 1976 they moved to Oklahoma City. Mr. Putman died in 1978. Mrs. Putman was a member of the O.E.S. and the Alumni Nurses Association of Methodist Hospital in Sioux City. In Oklahoma City she participated in all activities for women at Capitol Hill Baptist Church, where she was a member.

Survivors include two sisters, Maxine Palmer Resseguie of San Antonio, Tex., and Hazel Palmer Peyton of Denver; one nephew, Arloe Resseguie of San Antonio; and a grand niece, Jane Resseguie, a senior student at the University of Houston, Tex.
