Mrs. Herman (Jean A.) Wilken, 55, Brunsville, died Friday in Floyd Valley Hospital, Le Mars, after a one-year illness.

Services were held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Peter's Lutheran church, Brunsville, with Rev. Kevin Fry officiating. Burial was in St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery at Brunsville, under direction of Mauer Johnson funeral home, Le Mars.

Mrs. Wilken, the former Jean A. Harms, was born July 3, 1931, in Plymouth County. She marked Herman Wilken Sept. 14, 1960 in Brunsville, where the couple made their home. She was deputy treasurer for Plymouth County for nine years, and worked for Farmers State Bank in Merrill, for three years. She was a member of St. Peter's
Lutheran Church in Brunsville, and its Esther Circle.

Survivors include her husband, Herman; one daughter, Lori at home; one son, David of Lorrain, Ohio; four sisters, Mrs. Harry (Helen) Lehmann of Battle Creek, Mrs. James (Mae) Mertes of Le Mars; Mrs. Glenn (Eleanor) Breitbarth of Norwalk, Calif., and Mrs. Lloyd (Carla) Schultzof Tehachapi, Calif.; two brothers, Harvey Harms of Hinton, and Robert Harms of Le Mars.
