John Hayden Buried In LeMars SundayJohn Thomas Hayden passed away in a hospital at Burlington, Colorado, Thursday morning, April 19, 1945, after a few days illness, at the age of 79 years, 4 months and 29 days.
Deceased was born in Platteville, Wisconsin, November 21, 1865, and was the son of John and Catherine Campbell Hayden. At the age of 20, he came to LeMars where he lived until about 35 years ago, when he moved to Vona, Colo., where he farmed until a few years ago, when he retired and moved to Vona where he made his home until the time of his death.
He is survived by one sister, Mrs. Mary Laughton, two nieces, Leora Laughton and Mrs. Fred Pech, five nephews, Philip Hayden, Harry Laughton, Floyd Laughton, Lloyd Laughton, all of LeMars, and Cpl. Richard Laughton, of Camp Hood, Texas.
Funeral services were held at Mauer’s Funeral Home Sunday afternoon at 2:30 with the Rev. Joseph J. Share of the First Methodist church officiating. Burial was in the City Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Philip Hayden, Harry Laughton, Floyd Laughton, Lloyd Laughton, Cpl. Richard Laughton and Fred Pech.
