OLD RESIDENT OF HINTON DEAD
Moved To This County in 1873

Hinton Progress: Mrs. Sarah R. Soule, 89, passed away Sunday in the John Casper home at Leeds following a lingering illness.

She was born August 18, 1855, in Kalamazoo county, Mich., and was united in marriage to Galon Soule on December 25, 1873, in Michigan, after which they homesteaded in the vicinity of Hinton, where they farmed until 1909, when they moved to Hinton. Mr. Soule died February 25, 1913.

Mrs. Soule was a member of the Hinton Methodist church and had a host of friends who mourn her passing.

Survivors are two daughters, Mrs. John Casper and Mrs. Daisy Harrison, both of Leeds, a son, Herman of Greenville, Iowa; 17 grandchildren; 31 great grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Tuesday at Wesley Methodist church at Leeds with Rev. Victor (one line unreadable) the Lincoln township cemetery.
