Paul E. Bock, 85, formerly of Hinton and Sioux City, died Sunday, Aug. 22, 2010. at Northwood Hills Care Center at Humansville, Mo.

Paul Eugene Bock was born March 19, 1925, in Moville, the son of Hans and Mabel (Boland) Bock. He married Elizabeth L. Roepke May 13, 1946 in Leeds.

Paul worked at Sioux Tools for five years. After that, Paul moved his family east of Hinton where he farmed for 57 years until he retired.

Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth L. Bock of Bolivar, Mo.; children, daughter, Roxanne L. and Mark Gatrost of Chandler, Ariz., son, Byron B. Bock of Fair Play, Mo., daughter, Marsha L. Bock of Jenny Lind, Calif., son Joseph P. and Sherry Bock of Cabot, Ark., and daughter, Teresa A. Warthen of Alpharetta, Ga.; 15 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren; brother, Bernard Bock of Sioux City, and sister, Grace Becker of Hinton.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Hans and Mabel Bock;, brother and sister-in-law Earl and Louise Wilkerson; sister and brother-in-law Ardis and Ed Gray; sister and brother-in-law, Clara and Jim Englebritson, and sister-in-law, Phyllis Bock.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Michael Catholic Church in Sioux City with the Rev. Gary Snyder officiating. Inurnment will be at St. Joseph Cemetery-Neptune, rural Hinton. Visitation with the family present will be after 9 a.m. Saturday until service time.

Arrangements are with the Carlsen Funeral Home of Le Mars.

Memorials can be directed to the Alzheimer's Association.
