H.P. "Swede" Anderson, 88, of Akron, died Monday, July 6, 1992, at Marian Health Center in Sioux City.

Services were held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Patrick's Catholic church in Akron. Monsignor Gerald F. Lyon officiated. Burial was in St. -Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Akron, under direction of the Schroeder Funeral Home in Akron.

Pallbearers were Ron Boden, Dana Boden, Tom Boden, Rick Boden, Mike Boden, and Steven Small.

Mr. Anderson was born Aug. 5, 1903, in Akron, the son of William C. and Mary (Erickson) Anderson, he attended Akron public schools. He was a carpenter in his family's business, W.C. Anderson & Sons Construction Company. They built many commercial and residential Buildings in Akron, including Immanuel Lutheran Church, the Masonic Temple and First National Bank. He married Agnes Ruth Montagne July 2, 1939 in couple lived their entire married life in Akron. Mrs. Anderson died in 1978.

Mr. Anderson was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic church and the Masonic Lodge.

Survivors include two sons, Don Boden and his wife, Myrt of Denver, Colo, and Gordon Boden and his 'wife, Vicki of Anaheim, Calif.; one daughter, Kathleen "Kay" and her husband, Clinton Small, Peoria, 111.; 14 grandchildren ;23 great-grandchildren ; two sisters, Ruth Sawyer of Hawarden and Arta Akers of Mount Prospect, Ill.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; three brothers, Claude, Sperling, and Carl; and one. sister, Vera.
