S.D. Jacobson, a well known LeMars insurance man, representing the Equitable Life Assurance Company of New York City, who had many friends in Akron through frequent visits here during the past few years, died quite suddenly from a heart attack Friday morning, March 17, while visiting relatives at his old home town, Paullina, Iowa. He was in usual good spirits during the evening and planned to return to LeMars. Suddenly not feeling well, he telephoned his wife that he was remaining over night. About 2 o’clock Friday morning a member of the household went to his room to ascertain his condition and found that death had come. His age was 33, and his untimely departure is mourned by his widow, seven sisters and two brothers. Mr. Jacobson was a fine, clean young man, esteemed by all who knew him. He was particularly well known among local golfers, being an ardent devotee of that outdoor pastime. He was a member of the Presbyterian church and of the Masonic fraternity. Rev. F. F. Robinson, of this city, formerly pastor of the M. E. church at Paullina, conducted the funeral service in the Presbyterian Church there Monday afternoon, assisted by Rev. DePree of the LeMars Presbyterian Church. Interment was at Paullina.
