Raynard. J. McNaughton, 63, rural Kingsley, died Tuesday (Jan. 14, 1992), at a Sioux City hospital as the result of a farm accident.

Services were held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Community Presbyterian Church in Lawton. Dr. Robert E. Peters, pastor, and Dr. Howard Marty of Union township Presbyterian Church of Le Mars, officiated. Burial was in Banner Township Cemetery in Lawton, under direction of Christy Morningside Funeral Horne in Sioux City. Visitation was Thursday at the funeral home with Masonic service conducted by Cosmos Lodge 470 AF & AM of Kingsley, followed by a prayer service conducted by Dr. Robert Peters and Dr. Howard Marty.

Mr. McNaughton was born May 12, 1928, in Sioux City and was a lifetime resident of the Lawton and Kingsley areas. He married Janet M. Hess Sept. 25, 1954, in Lawton. He was a farmer. He was a member of the Lawton Saddle club, Cosmos Masonic Lodge 470 AF & AM of Kingsley, and Union township Presbyterian church in Le Mars. He was a 4-H leader and member of the Plymouth County fair board for 24 years, serving as president two terms. He was a member of Nash po'st 140, American Legion of Kingsley and former member of the American Legion post in Lawton.

Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Roxanne of Denver, Colo.; two sons, Clay of Spencer and Brett and his wife, Hallie of Kingsley; a grandson, Ross; a brother, Richard of Lawton; three sisters, Marge Maude of Lawton, Dorothy Kennett of Sergeant Bluff, and Ruby Johnson of Sioux City; an uncle, Ralph McNaughton of Lawton
