Clarence Hoffman, 76, 1221 S. St.
Mary's St., died Saturday (May 10,
1980) at a Sioux City nursing home after
a long illness.

Services were at 10 a.m. Tuesday at
the W. Harry Christy funeral home in
Morningside. Rev. Brian Carter of
Rustin Avenue United Methodist
church officiated. Burial was in Pleasant
Valley cemetery at Adaville, Iowa.

Mr. Hoffman was born on Nov. 30,
1903, at Westfield, Iowa. He farmed
there until moving to Sioux City in 1935.
He was a gardener contractor in Sioux
City.

He joined the Army during World
War II, and was a member of the
Monahan Post No. 64 of the American
Legion. He was a Methodist.

Survivors include two brothers,
George of Sioux City and Ray of Westfield.
