We were saddened to hear of the death last Friday of Mrs. Lena Campbell, one time resident of Westfield, now of Sioux City. She had been ill for some time. One daughter, Mrs. Basil Hoffman, lives in Westfield, another, Mrs. Clark Lilly, lives just south of Westfield, and Vera Eslick of Elk Point. Two sons, Harold and Don, live at Akron. We extend sincere sympathy to the loved ones. The funeral was held Tuesday p. m. in Westfield Congregational church.

RITES ARE HELD TUESDAY FOR MRS. LENA CAMPBELL

Mrs. Lena Campbell of Sioux City, passed away at a Sioux City hospital Jan. 20, 1962, at the age of 69 years, 9 months and 20 days.

Lena Etta Hummel was born March 23, 1892, in Union County, South Dakota, to Eden and Amanda Hummel. She moved to Plymouth County, Iowa, with her parents and it was here she grew to young woman-hood.

On March 11, 1908, she was united in marriage with Montie Campbell in Elk Point, South Dakota. To this union was born seven children. One preceded her in death. Mr. Campbell passed away December 27, 1939. She leaves to mourn her departure 3 daughters, Mrs. Gladys Hoffman and Mrs. Gail Lilly, both of Westfield, Ia., and Mrs. Vera Eslick, Elk Point, S. D.; three sons, Harold Campbell, and Donald Campbell, both of Akron, Iowa, and Virgil Campbell of Sioux City, Iowa; two sisters Mrs. Ida Morehead of Sioux City, and Mrs. Margaret Skogs of Crosby, Minn.; and one brother, Geo. Hummel, of Westfield. Also 15 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

She will always be remembered by her friends and neighbors as a kind and loving wife and mother.

Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon in Westfield Congregational church, Rev. C. L. Guiun officiating. Pianist Mrs. Keith Knapp, soloist, Mrs. Chester Guinn and accompanist, Mrs. Orin Harris. Burial was in the Westfield Cemetery.
