Barbara Sturges Gregory, 86, of Easton, Md., and a Le Mars native, died Friday, June 11, 2010, at William Hill Manor.

Born in Le Mars, on Jan. 1, 1924, she was the daughter of the late George W. and Marianna Sims Sturges. She graduated from the University of Nebraska in 1945. She then married Edgar "Greg" Gregory, II on Nov. 17, 1945.

Mrs. Gregory loved to volunteer and travel. She also enjoyed working at the polls during elections.

She is survived by her husband, Greg Gregory, II; her children: Chip Gregory of Hedgesville, W.V., and Nancy Van Deven and her husband, Roger, of Hughesville, Md.; a brother, William Sturges of Le Mars; and a granddaughter, Jennifer Van Deven.

Services will be private.
