David E. Blomberg, 82, of Akron
died Sunday (March 10, 1985) at the
Akron Hospital after a long illness.

Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday
at Big Springs Baptist Church, rural
Alcester. Rev. Fred Mead will officiate.

Burial will be in Big Springs
Cemetery Visitation will be from 2 to 9
p.m. Tuesday with the family present
from 7 to 8 p.m. in the Schroeder
Funeral home of Akron.

Mr. Blomberg was born May 31,
1902. in Union County, South Dakota.

He married Lillian Swanson May 2,
1971, at Hawarden. They moved to
Akron in 1961.

He farmed most of his life on the
same farm near Akron until 1976 when
he retired.

Mr. Blomburg was a lifelong member
of Big Springs Baptist Church.

Survivors are his wife: three daughters.
Mrs. Don (Corrine) Maske of
Hartford S.D.. Mrs. Dan (Wanda)
Vanderham of Akron and Mrs. Connie
Anderson of Hawarden: three stepdaughters,
Beverly Wines of Chevy
Chase. Md. Mrs. Jell (Donna; Dobb's
of San Clemente. Calif., and Mrs. Larry
Kathleen; Luke of Clinton. two
stepsons. Charles Swanson of Riverside.
Calif., and Larry Swanson of
Lakeside. Calif. 26 grandchildren.
and 12 great-grandchildren.
