Mrs. Robert (Helen M.) Wick, 95, Le Mars native and lifelong resident, died unexpectedly Monday (Jan. 2,1989) at her home.
Funeral will be at 10:30a.m. Friday at First United Methodist Church in Le Mars with Rev. Robert Robinson officiating.
Burial will be in Memorial Cemetery, Le Mars, under direction of the Mauers-Johnson Funeral Home.
Friends may call after 2 p.m. Thursday with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
She was born July 26,1893, in Le Mars to Andrew and Celia Bennett Bray. She lived in Le Mars until 1920, when her marriage to Robert Wick took place June 20, in Le Mars. The couple moved to Sioux City where they lived until 1924. In that year they moved to Tyndall, S.D., and resided there until 1937. The family moved back to Le Mars after 1937.
Mrs. Wick was a member of First United Methodist Church, a 50-year member of O.E.S. and the Sunshine Club.
Survivors are two daughters, Mrs. Bailus (Bette) Holland and Mrs. Ray (Barbara) Korff, both of Le Mars; 11 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews including a niece, Lynnette Taylor of Warrensburg, Mo.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert, in 1947; a daughter, Bonny Hammer in 1988; a granddaughter, Susan Hammer; four brothers and three sisters.
