Sinkey, Mrs. Clarence (Ada) 1909-1971

Mrs. Clarence Sinkey, 61, a resident of
Sioux City for 40 years, died Monday
morning at her home after a brief illness.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m.
Thursday at the First Christian Reformed
church with Rev. Dennis Boonstra officiating.
Burial will be in the Ireton
cemetery under the direction of the W.
Harry Christy Funeral Home, Sioux City.

Pallbearers will be Arnold Beuzekom,
Richard Hoffman, Shelby Johnstone,
Frank Klynsma, Lawrence Magnuson and
George Van Schepen.

Mrs. Sinkey, the former Ada Van
Gorkom, was born Oct. 30, 1909, at
Maruice. She married Clarence Sinkey in
October 1928 in Le Mars, They lived at
Ireton until 1931 when they moved to Sioux
City.

Mrs. Sinkey was a member of the
Christian Reformed church and was active
in both the Christian Fellowship society
and the Sioux City gospel mission.

Survivors are her husband; one
daughter, Mrs. Robert (Mavis) Slawson of
Columbia, Md.; two sisters, Mrs. Albert
(Goldie) Nagel of Sioux City and Mrs.
Clarence (Cora) Singer of Le Mars; one
brother, Lester of Memphis, Mo., and two
grandchildren.
