Mrs. Julia L. Ausman, a native of Merrill, Iowa passed away at the age of 90 years on August 9, 1960 at Memorial Hospital Wessington Springs, South Dakota.
Julia Eberhard, daughter of the late David and Barbara Eberhard of Merrill was born July 30, 1870 near Merrill. She lived a short while in Louisana; lived in Merrill until 1905. She was married to Lampert E. Ausman on August 18, 1892 and moved then to Wessington Springs. Her husband passed away in 1943.
Funeral services were held at the Methodist Church at Highmore and burial was beside her husband at Prospect Hill Cemetery, Wessington Springs.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Robert (Sibyl) Ray of Highmore; two sons, Evan L. of Lake Bluff, Illinois and Arlo of Portsmouth, Ohio; Miss Salome Lauck of Chicago who made her home with the Ausman's for many years; seven grandchildren; 17 greatgrandchildren; two brothers, Henry Eberhard of Seattle; Jake Eberhard of Fargo, North Dakota.
She was also preceded in death by a son in infancy.
Deceased was very proud of the fact that she was a life member in her favorite organization the W. S. C. S.
