Gerald A. Beaubien Sr., 50, Sioux
City, died Saturday (April 26, 1975) at
a Sioux City hospital after a two year
illness.

Services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday,
April 29 at the Cathedral of the
Epiphany with the Rev. Msgr. L.J. Hoffman,
pastor officiating. A flag presentation
was held at the graveside in
Memorial Park cemetery.

Mr. Beaubien was born on Sept. 2,
1924 in Westfield, Iowa. He served in the
U.S. army during World War II and
married Orleen Keehn on January 24,
1946 at Akron.

He went to Sioux City 28 years ago
and was a hog buyer for Sioux Quality
Pack, a division of Armour & Co., for
15 years. He and his wife owned and
operated a ceramics shop for nine
years and had the Ceramic Cove at 1307
Pierce St. for the past four years.

He was a member of the Cathedral of
the Epiphany and had been a recreation
Softball umpire for 20 years.

Survivors include the widow; three
sons, Gerald A. Jr., of Vermillion, Neil
of Sioux City and Brad, at home; five
daughters, Mrs. Susan Hitt, South Sioux
City, Mrs. Sandy Verrone and Mrs.
Joette Stewart, both of Sioux City, and
Ann and Nancy, both at home; his father,
Phillip Beaubien Sr. of Westfield; and
John of San Clemente, Calif.; two
Phillip Beaubien Sr. of Westfield; three
brothers, Phillip Beaubien Jr. of Westfield,
Bernard of Sioux City; and John
of San Clemente, Calif.; two sisters,
Mrs. Florence Kapfer and Mrs. Catherine
Foster, both of Sioux City, and
six grandchildren.
