Lloyd Searls, 67, Westfield, died Friday (June 15,1984) in a Sioux City hospital after a brief illness.
Services were at 1:30 p.m. Monday in the First Church of Christ in Akron. Rev. Elmer Hodge officiated. Burial was made in the Riverside Cemetery in Akron.
A prayer service was held at 8 p.m. Sunday in the Schroeder Funeral Home of Akron.
Mr. Searls was born May 17, 1917, near Akron, He married Ida Hoffman March 8,1944, in Elk Point, S.D. He farmed his entire life in the Akron area until 1969. He moved to Westfield in 1981. He was currently on the church board and was a church deacon.
Survivors are his wife; one son, Larry at home; two daughters, Marlene Weyer of Hawarden and Marie Scott of Westfield; two granddaughters; four brothers, Walter and Daniel both of Akron, Alvin and William both of Sioux City; four sisters, Anita Young of Suisan, Calif., Dorothy Siebsens of Le Center, Minn., Carolyn Wenzel of Hinton and Lois Willer of Akron.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one infant son, an infant sibling and a brother Erwin.
