Funeral services for Gerald Joseph Searls , 6, who died Friday night at an Iowa City hospital, were at 9 a.m. Tuesday at St, Patrick Catholic Church at Akron. Rev. J. G. Skahill officiated and burial was in the church cemetery.

The rosary was recited at the Rossow funeral home Monday evening.

The boy was born February 23, 1955 in Akron.

Survivors include the parents ; a brother , Eddie, and the grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Searls and Mr. & Mrs. Ed Schriever of Akron.
