January 19, 1923Ed. Hoffman, a former well known resident of Westfield township, died at his home near Jefferson, S.D. Wednesday morning, January 10, 1923. He had been in poor health for some time. Funeral services were held in St. Patrick's Catholic Church (Friday) the Catholic cemetery here.

Ed Hoffmann, a former Westfield resident, passed away on Wednesday at his home near Jefferson, S. D.He leaves a wife and six children.
The funeral was held in the Akron Catholic church and burial made at Akron. Mr. Hoffman was well known here, having run the butcher shop for quite awhile. A large number was at the funeral.
