SR. M. ASSUMPTA DIED NOVEMBER 2
Came to Sacred Heart Hospital July 29, 1946 for Treatment
On Saturday, November 2nd, Sister Mary Assumpta O.S.F., passed away at the Sacred Heart Hospital, following a sickness of three months.
Sister Assumpta, who was born at Le Motte, Iowa, entered the religious order of St. Francis in August 1919. For a number of years she remained at the Mother House at Dubuque. Later she taught in the various schools of diocese of Dubuque. Her last assignment was at Briar Cliff College at Sioux City. On July 29, 1946 she entered the Sacred Heart Hospital because of impaired health.
The body will be shipped from Wiltgen’s Funeral Home to Mount Saint Francis, the Mother House, at Dubuque, Iowa for burial. Survivors include her mother, Mrs. Susan Even of Bellevue, Iowa, Sister Mary Magdala, O.S.F. of Bancroft, Iowa. There are also seven other sisters and three brothers. She is preceded in death by her father and one brother.

Sister Mary Assumpta, O. S. F., died at Sacred Heart hospital in Le Mars, Saturday, November 2, after a long illness.
Sister Assumpta, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Nicholas Even, was born at LaMotte, Iowa, and entered Mt. St. Francis at Dubuque in August, 1919. She taught in various school in the diocese of Dubuque and Sioux City, before coming to Sacred Heart hospital due to ill health. Deceased was preceded in death by her father and one brother.
She is survived by her mother, Mrs. Susan Even of Bellevue, Iowa; a sister, Sister Mary Magdala, O. S. F., of Bancroft, Iowa; seven other sisters and three brothers.
Funeral services will be held at Dubuque on Tuesday, with burial in Mt. St. Francis cemetery.
