Mrs. Vernon Pageler, 25, of Craig, Thursday (December 5, 1974) became the fifth victim of a Feb. 14 accident near Chatsworth. She had been hospitalized at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Sioux City until June, when she was transferred to a hospital in Hawarden. Other victims of the accident, which happened about a mile south of Chatsworth on Iowa 12, were Jerald Lee Ryan, 22 of Rock Valley; Frederick Warren Talbott 16 and William James Stibral, 19, both of Akron and Curtis Gene Cornish, 17, of Ireton.

Funeral services for Mrs. Pageler were at 2 p.m. Dec. 9 in St. John Lutheran Church at Craig. The Rev. 0. K. Anderson officiated. Burial was in Grace Hill Cemetery. A prayer service was held at 7:30 p.m. Dec. 8 in the Dow Funeral Home at Hawarden.

Mrs. Pageler, former Cheryl Ann Brunsting, was born May 6,1949, at Hawarden. She was married Dec. 19, 1970, to Vernon at Craig.

She had lived in the Hawarden-Craig area all her life.

Survivors include the widower; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Brunsting of Hawarden; a brother, Roger of Hawarden; three stepdaughters, Mrs. Paul (Valorie) Grant and Miss Roxane Pageler, both of Le Mars, and Miss Torrie Pageler of Craig; and a stepson, Terry Pageler of Le Mars
