Life's end

LAST RITES WEDNESDAY FOR WALTER H. BAACK

Walter H. Baack, 61, Craig, died Monday in Le Mars after a long illness.

He was born Mar. 16, 1906 in Sioux county to Frederick and Martha (Eggebrecht) Baack and was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith at Reading township, rural Ireton.

His marriage to Vera Elliott took place June 15, 1928 at Sioux City.

Funeral services were Wednesday at 2 p.m. at St. John Lutheran church, Craig and burial was in the church cemetery under direction of the Satterlee funeral home at Ireton. Rev. Earnest Christensen officiated.

Survivors are his wife, Vera, Craig; two daughters, Mrs. Orville (Janeen) Grasz. rural Le Mars; Mrs. Robert (Marilyn) Giffin, Minneapolis; two brothers, Fred Baack, and Edward Baack both of Le Mars and two sisters, Mrs. Otto Heien, Le Mars and Mrs. William Lahr, rural Le Mars; 8 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and five brothers, Carl, Herman, George, Clarence and an infant brother.
