MRS. GALE BERGSMA

Funeral services were held at Dow Funeral home in lreton at 1:30 P.M. July 17 for Mrs. Gale Bergsma, 85,of Ireton. who died at a Hawarden nursing home July 14 after a long illness.
Services were conducted by the Rev. Herbert Gould and burial was in Pleasant Hill cemetery.

Mrs. Bergsma. the former, Hermina Luikens, was born February 6, 1890, on a farm near Struble. sne was married Februarv 14. 1910, in Le Mars. Mr. and Mrs. Bergsma farmed in the Maurice and Ireton areas untlt they retired in Ireton.

Mr. and Mrs. Bergsma were owners and pubushers of the Ireton Echo, Hudson Shopper amd Ireton Ledger. Mr. Bergsma died July 22, 1959.

Survivors lnclude three son, Edward of Buena Park. Calif., Melvin of Bell Gardens, Calif., and Robert ot Des Moines; a daughter, Mrs. Edna Maston of Sioux City; a sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Pennings of St. Paul; a brother, Jake, of Norfolk, Nebr.; 13 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren: and a great, great-grandson.
